IDENTIFY YOUR BUGS
Cimex lectularius, or the bed bug, is one of the most repulsive critters most people can think of. The idea that this tiny creature lives in your bedroom (or other areas in your home), creeps out at night, sometimes in massive numbers, to attack you repeatedly by sucking your blood while you are sleeping, makes most people feel very insecure, frustrated and even angry.
We understand those feelings and we think they are justified. That is why we want to eliminate doubt and fear, as quickly and easily as we can! If you have even the slightest suspicion that your home or office may have a bed bug contamination, we’re here to help.
Our experience studying and learning to eradicate these formidable creatures has made us virtual experts on them. Generally, with a high enough quality photo or picture of them, we can positively identify them for you, without even having to visit your residence. They key here is that you get one or two photos or pictures that are in-focus and up-close, containing the entire body of one or more bed bugs. If you see markings on your bed sheets that look like small specks or smears of dried blood or if you notice a spray of small flecks around your mattress, take a picture and include it, especially if you can’t get a picture of the actual bugs.
Then you can easily send it to us via our ID YOUR BUGS form and we’ll either:
(1) Let you know if it is a bed bug,
Or
(2) If we just cannot identify your bugs as bed bugs with certainty, we’ll arrange to come by your home or workplace and inspect the bugs ourselves. We don’t just rely on our knowledge and expertise though. We also bring Elliot Sniff a highly-trained rat terrier with 3 years experience as a bed bug detection dog. This little canine is another expert and has an superb track record at sniffing out bed bugs for Regina and area residents. So don’t let fear or uncertainty hold you back. Contact us today!

Bed bug bite sizes and reaction depend on a number of things. It is usually not the bug itself but the bed bug’s saliva ( and the anti-coagulant contained within it) that determined how a person reacts to the bite. Different people will have various sensitivities to the bed bug’s bite and saliva and this along with the severity of itching and scratching that takes place, will cause variations in the look and size of the bite mark.
If you have bite marks that resemble those in the pictures above, don’t wait. Check your mattress and bedding immediately to confirm the whether any bed bugs are visible. If you are still unsure call us and we’ll help you determine the answer.
